Handwoven Kurdish Sanandaj Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted wool kilim. This flatweave area rug is attributed to the weavers of Sanandaj, and is rendered in a palette of brown, taupe, gray, steel blue, ivory, wheat, olive, pomegranate, and black. The field consists of stitched panels in a pattern of vertical stripes, and finishes with overcast selvedges and bound ends. Unlabeled.
