A handwoven Kurdish Sanandaj wool area kilim. This flatweave area rug is attributed to the weavers of Sanandaj, and is rendered in a palette of madder red, ivory, sage, sepia, wheat, and black. The field consists of stitched panels in a pattern of vertical stripes, and finishes with overcast selvedges and bound ends. Unlabeled.
