A vintage brass sculpture of the medieval Irish literary figure Cuchulain. This piece depicts the dramatic death of the warrior, who chose to die standing up after being tricked and poisoned. The shirtless figure slumps to one side, holding a shield in one hand with a raven on his shoulder. There is a worn foundry seal to the verso stating the piece was manufactured in the Republic of Ireland. The work is presented unsigned on serpentine and wood bases.

- some discoloration and uneven finish throughout sculpture; accretion to arm and shield; some surface wear throughout; chips to stone and wood bases; scratches to wood base, particularly to the underside.
