A mezzotint on paper by German painter and printmaker Elias Christoph Heiss (1660–1731) of Anne Tibylla Breissitz. This piece depicts a woman’s portrait against a dark ground, framed by a wreath wrapped in ribbon with a pedestal to the lower edge of the composition. There is script written in plate on the ribbon and pedestal and publication information in plate to the lower edge. This print is presented under a mat and glass in a gold tone wood frame, wired to hang.

Condition

- discoloration to print and mat; glass could be cleaned more thoroughly; light wear to frame finish; taped backing.
