Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of slate, scarlet, ivory, azure, rose, and powder blue. The slate colored field begins with a diamond shaped pendant medallion with scrolled edges, and coordinating spandrels. The field also features ornately designed boteh, floral sprays, bouquets, and palmettes throughout. Framing the field is a main wide floral meander border, along with other floral meander guard and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
