Ellmore Silver Co. Sterling Silver Ram's Head Salt Cellars with Salt Spoons

A grouping of four sterling silver salt cellars by the Ellmore Silver Company of Meriden, CT (1935-1960). These are designed with sterling silver bowls that rise on hoof feet with applied ram’s head medallions. Two include cobalt blue glass wells. Two are marked to the underside with the “E” and lion figural mark, as well as “Sterling 805”. Two are just marked ‘Sterling 805.’ Also includes four sterling salt spoons monogramed with the letter ‘A.’ The total approximate weight of sterling pieces is 8.640 ozt. Please note one of the glass wells could not be removed from the bowl. That piece is not included in the total weight.
Condition
- Good to Fair; there is moderate tarnish to the surface and one of the glass wells cannot be removed from the bowl.
