Early 19th Century English and Irish Sterling Silver Serving Spoons

A pairing of early 19th century English and Irish sterling silver serving spoons. The selection includes a Georgian spoon by silversmith Samuel Neville featuring a polished fiddle handle. The handle is marked with maker’s initials ‘SN’, a crowned harp indicating sterling quality, a Dublin Hibernia, a duty mark and a date mark for 1828. Also included is George III spoon with engraved handle. The spoon features London hallmarks including an ‘HH’ maker’s marks, possibly that of Hyam Hyams, the date mark for 1821 and the George III duty mark. The spoons together weigh approximately 4.280 ozt.
