An circa 1860 wood engraving on paper of a map of Eastern Virginia titled From Fredericksburg to Richmond by mapmaker Charles Sholl. This map was published as an extra by the Boston Recorder newspaper. It depicts roads, county lines, rivers, geological features, and farms as they appeared in Civil War era Virginia. The work is signed in-plate by Charles Sholl in the lower right corner. It is presented loose, unframed.

- fold lines; staining and foxing to surface; tearing to edges; minor holes to surface.
