A five-piece sterling silver coffee and tea set by Gorham, dating between the early 1940s to the early 1950s. This set includes a water kettle on a warming stand, a coffee pot, teapot, a covered sugar bowl, an open creamer, and an open waste bowl. These pieces all feature round forms with concentric bands around the rims, necks, and footed bases, as well as scrolled wooden handles with a dark-stained finish. The undersides are all stamped with the Gorham maker’s marks, along with ‘Sterling’, the 900 pattern numbers, and one of three different date codes used for years 1941, 1948, and 1951. The approximate total weight, including the wooden handles and other non-sterling materials, is 152.700 ozt.
