A copper and iron alloy sculpture titled Outlaw after well-listed American artist Frederic Remington (1861 – 1909). The work depicts a cowboy riding a bucking horse. It is inscribed ‘copyright by Frederic Remington’ in-mold and along an outer edge. The sculpture is presented atop an ovular marble base with a gold tone label plate. Adhered to the underside is protective felt padding.
Condition
- reins only run from right side of mouth; surface wear throughout; dust accretions throughout particularly to base; some abrasions and nicks to base; felt to underside of base fraying and visible.
