An antique Pasteur Vaccine Company syringe with needles in case and Black Leg Vaccine wooden crate with an Acme mortar and pestle. The syringe case features a black leather exterior gilt embossed ‘Pasteur Vaccine Co. Chicago.’ to the top. The case holds four cannulated style needles and the syringe which features a metal frame and glass interior vial. The collection also includes round cotton swabs and the vaccine box. The Black Leg Vaccine is administered to cattle, the fatal disease is so named as the infection site is usually found on a leg and it is dark in color. The bowl is stone, and the pestle has a wood handle with a stone head. The bowl has a rubbed mark to the underside.
