Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz Carpet Runner. This rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of carnelian, ivory, indigo, slate, sky blue, and terracotta. The carnelian hued field features a pole of three diamond medallions ending and separated with smaller diamonds infilled with rosettes. The pole is enclosed with the same scrolling leaves and partial medallions found in each diamond medallion. Framing the field is an unresolved main border of blossoms and brackets, along with a pair of running water guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short camel colored warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
