Edie Harper Signed Limited Edition Serigraph "Up Up and Away"

A signed limited edition serigraph Up Up and Away by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922 – 2010). This print depicts three hot air balloons with passengers over a city against a gray background. A setting sun is visible to the left side of the composition. This piece is signed, numbered 839/1000, and titled by hand in graphite to the lower margin. The print is presented unframed.

Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.
