Japanese Imari Porcelain Bowl and Plate
Item Details
A pairing of hand-painted Japanese Imari porcelain tableware including a plate and a bowl. The plate features trees with overhanging foliage beyond a fence to the center, surrounded by a floral design to the verge. It has no visible maker’s mark. The bowl presents red flowers to the basin under scroll and linear patterns with red and white floral panels alternating with gilt linear designs on dark blue ground. It is marked by an apocryphal Chinese reign mark to the underside.
