A limited edition embellished woodcut print on heavyweight rag paper titled 81-35 (Persimmon) by listed Japanese sōsaku-hanga artist Haku Maki (巻白, born Maejima Tadaaki, 1924 – 2000). The circa 1970s piece depicts an orange and green persimmon hanging from a delicate branch with two silvery leaves against a white background. The work is signed ‘H. Maki’ in pencil to the lower right, adjacent to a red artist’s seal. It is additionally titled ‘81-35 (柿)’ in pencil to the lower center and numbered to the lower left as 58 out of an edition of 190. It is double-matted and presented under glass in a bamboo-motif wooden frame with gold tone finish, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
