Earl Biss Circa 1980s Oil Painting "Winter Outing"
Item Details
A circa 1980s oil painting on canvas titled Winter Outing by well-listed artist Earl Biss (Absaroke Crow, 1947-1998). The piece depicts a group of four Native American figures in colorful attire riding painted horses under falling snow through a winter landscape, traveling toward distant blue mountains and overcast skies. The work is signed ‘Biss’ in light blue paint to the upper right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with cream linen liner, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- faint discoloration to canvas; discoloration and accretion to linen liner; minor edge wear and scratching to frame; no backing paper present.
