Item Details
An oil painting on board of a canal scene by listed artist Louis Spiegel (1901 – 1975). This slightly Cubist style painting depicts single-masted sailboats docked near multi-colored, rustic European style buildings along a calm body of water. The composition is reinforced with thin, visceral brush strokes to the edges. To the lower right corner is a painted artist signature. The painting is presented in a gold tone wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

- gold tone wood and gesso frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
