With the title, name of the photograph and the name of the printer present to the lower margin, the piece depicts Mary Todd Lincoln and other men gathered around the deathbed of President Lincoln. Mounted under a single layer of off-white matting, the photograph is presented under glass in a stained wood frame with a wire present to the verso for hanging purposes.
