Attributed Siscalin Oil Paintings "The Monks"
Item Details
A pair of oil paintings titled The Monks attributed to an artist signing the work Siscalin. These two Impressionist style paintings depict Franciscan monks within a stone cellar, one of which stands near a wooden barrel to sample a drink while another sits on an overturned barrel, solemnly looking at a clutched bottle. To the lower left corners are painted artist signatures. The paintings are presented in gold tone wooden frames featuring linen liners with hanging wire to the verso.
