Vintage Roll Top Shelbyville Desk

Item Details

An oak roll-top desk by the Shelbyville Desk Co., Shelbyville, IN. The desk has a tambour lid with cast brass, manufacturer’s labeled escutcheon. The photographs show the desk interior, resting on top, due to lid being locked (no key). Below is a center pencil drawer and knee-hole, flanked by two pedestals, each having four drawers (no file drawer). Early 20th century.

Condition

- desk is locked, no key present; wear to finish; front trim piece along lower front on one side is missing; cracks and scratches in the wood.
