Nicodemus Yellow Glazed Pottery Pitcher and More

A selection of hand thrown stoneware includes a Nicodemus yellow glazed pottery pitcher with brown accents. The pitcher features a bulbous base and a small spout, with an attached handle. This pottery pitcher is incised to the base ‘Nicodemus’. Chester Nicodemus (1901-1990) was a potter based in Clintonville, Ohio and former dean of Columbus Art College now known as Columbus College of Art and Design. Also included is a matte blue glazed ceramic bowl with internal dark green accents to the interior wall of the bowl. The exterior has glaze misses showing the underlying ceramic body. This bowl is marked to the bottom ‘MC’. A blue glazed ceramic pot is included, it features a face to one side, with a turned down mouth and small raised eyes. The underside of the pot is initialed however it is illegible. A square is also included that features a teal to brown glaze, it has straight sides and is stamped to the bottom ‘Forry 333’.
