A hand-colored Currier & Ives lithograph print on paper titled Prairie Hens. This nature image depicts a male and female specimen of prairie hens in the foreground, surrounded on all sides by tall coarse grass. Several other prairie hens graze in the background. The work is presented under glass in a simple wood frame. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.

Condition

- to fair; print shows discoloration, foxing and stains to the outside margins. Paper is also torn to the left and lower right margins.
