Vintage Cape Town and Port Elizabeth Stoneware Bottles
Item Details
A group of three vintage Cape Town and Port Elizabeth salt glazed stoneware bottles. Included are two bottles, both from Cape Town, with light brown glaze accenting the neck and shoulders: one stamped ‘Thomas Mulvihal & Sons ’ featuring a shamrock logo on the front, with a Barnett & Foster London mark stamped on the back; and one stamped ’Daly & Day’ featuring a Zeus logo on the front, with an impressed makers stamp ‘[?] Bristol’ on the back. The third bottle is stamped ‘C. Johnson Phoenix Works Mineral Water Port Elizabeth’ and has a Lourne & Deney mark impressed into the back.
