A set of two Chinese-inspired ink and gouache paintings created circa 1979 by contemporary Taiwanese-American artist Johnny Lung. Featured are Butterly and Red Winged Black Bird depicting complimentary scenes of a butterfly and blackbird perched upon red flowers and lush greenery. Each piece includes black calligraphy and a red seal to the outer margin, with a signature of ‘Johnny Lung’ in black ink to the lower right of the matting. The paintings are matted in off-white and presented under glass in matching gold tone metal frames; each is marked to the verso with a label containing artist and title information.

Condition

- to fair; toning and discoloration to matting; edge wear, scratches and scuffs to frames.
