Vintage Cast Metal Fireplace Cover

Item Details

A vintage cast metal fireplace cover. The cover is square in shape and features a round medallion depicting an image of Athena encircled by a beaded border surrounded by acanthus accents. Five graduated faux-wood, X-patterned, and floral motif borders and frames surround the square plate. One knob below the plaque conceals the end of screw inserted into the back which holds the metal plates in place. The number ‘4’ is engraved along the edge on the back.

Condition

- rust, tarnish; multiple white marks including long mark to upper left side; missing pieces.
