A re-strike woodblock print on paper titled Under the Wave off Kanagawa after the iconic printmaker and painter Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, 1760 – 1849), originally dated 1831 – 1834. The work depicts a crashing wave with Mt. Fuji to the background. To the top left, and inscription is printed to the paper. The print is presented matted under glass in a black wood and lacquer frame.

Condition

- some wear around the edges of the frame; wear and scuff to the face of the frame; glass could benefit from a cleaning; to the verso, some wear to the protective backing.
