A woodblock print on paper titled Blue Iris (花菖蒲) by Kotozuka Eiichi (琴塚英一, 1906 – 1979). The work depicts blue flowering blooms using soft colors. Wood grain was embossed onto the paper during the printing process adding texture to the print. To the top left, the maker’s mark is printed. To the verso, an informational label is adhered. The print is presented in a canvas mat under glass in a gold-toned frame.

Condition

- some wear to the edges of the frame; glass could benefit from a cleaning; some warping to the top of the paper; to the verso, some wear to the protective backing.
