Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Caucasian wool room size rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of carnelian, ivory, black, and apricot. The carnelian colored field features an all-over lattice pattern of chained florettes, and stepped diamond medallions infilled with kochak motifs. Framing the field are multiple floral and diamond patterned borders, along with a main ashik and bracket patterned border, as well as an elem panel infilled with a lattice of florettes. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a short knotted warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
