Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of midnight blue, ivory, red, tan, pink and powder blue. It features an allover herati field incorporating palmettes, flowers, foliage and vines over midnight blue. The field is framed by four borders, including a herati main border grounded in ivory featuring meandering palmettes and vines. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with ivory wool warp fringe. Unlabeled.
