An oil painting on canvas titled Prospect Point- Niagara Falls by John L Hartung. This landscape image captures a view of both waterfalls that make the geological attraction Niagara Falls. The American Falls is visible in the middleground, just past the observation deck. The large Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side is visible in the distance. The work is signed and dated in the lower left ‘John L. Hartung, Detroit, 4-6-1953’. It is presented in a dark stained wood frame with gold tone trim. There is a hanging wire mounted to the verso.
