A handwoven pictorial area rug/blanket. This wool piece features an image of a flamboyantly colorful peacock over a cream background. Flanking the peacock are depictions of a pink and red iris with leaves and a pair of flowers and stems, in pink, orange and green. The inner field is framed by a border consisting of black scrolling motifs. The palette is canary, royal blue, pink, red, orange, green, cream and black. Edges feature thick cream-colored wool fringe on all sides. The piece is unlabeled.
