A hand-knotted Turkmen Ersari Bokhara wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a bold crimson and black palette, and features three rows of Ersari guls latticed with star flowers, along with a line of ram’s horns to each end. Framing the field are multiple borders including a diamond and cross pattern, a quatrefoil pattern, a zigzag, and barber poles. Finishing this rug are quadruple overcast selvedges and a goat hair warp fringe to the ends. Unlabeled.
