An oil painting on canvas of a pastoral landscape. This Plein-Air style painting depicts rustic cottages featuring pointed roofs, some of which are rendered in a complete silhouette, layered near one another on top of a rolling, grassy hillside beneath a gloomy sky. To the lower left corner is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a cream and dark wooden frame featuring a linen liner with hanging wire to the verso.
