A hand-knotted Persian Bijar area rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of coral, navy, charcoal-gray, white, mustard yellow, pale peach , red ,and sage. This rug features a hexagonal shaped central medallion with hooked trim on a field patterned with geometric herati designs. It is framed with sawtooth line and carnation meander guard borders and a samovar pattern main border. It has overcast edges and fringe to either end. Unmarked.
