Antique French Architectural Lithograph "Chateau des Tuileries"

An early 20th-century lithograph on laid paper titled Chateau des Tuileries after engraver A. Soudain and artist Ch. Lafforgue, originating from the late 19th-century French publication Topographie Historique du Vieux Paris. The piece depicts an architectural intaglio image of Tuileries Palace in Paris (1564 – 1871). The print is titled and attributed in plate to the lower margin. It is matted in grey and presented under acrylic glazing in a gilt wooden frame with beaded accent, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration and fading to print; foxing to edges, especially visible to top margin; vertical crease present through center; buckling to paper at right side; frame is good to fair with edge wear, scratches and scuffing present; punctures to frame’s backing paper.
