Item Details
A hand-knotted Tekke Bokhara wool accent rug. The rug has been woven in shades of pomegranate, wine, ivory, buff, olive, and charcoal. The central pattern consists of two rows of Tekke guls with complete and partial kochak motifs positioned in between and on the edge of the pomegranate field. The wide compound border includes checked, diamond, and serrate minor bands and a primary band with repeating guls in alternating color combinations. There are skirts at each end with lattice patterning. The selvedges are overcast and there is knotted fringe at each end. Unmarked.
