Item Details
A circa late 19th century Eastlake cherry secretary desk with an upper display cabinet. The cabinet features a pair of reeded, glass-paned doors to the upper portion under a decorative pediment flanked by a stick-and-ball gallery. The doors reveal space for adjustable shelving to the interior. The lower portion of the cabinet has a drop front door with a pair of raised panels which opens via skeleton key to a leather inset writing surface and a sectioned interior with twelve mail slots and two small drawers. The secretary rises on a pair of turned wooden spindles to the front and is set over three drawers having dovetail construction over three cabinets, each having decorative brass pulls.
