A watercolor painting on paper of a pastoral landscape by artist Emile Kalnins. This Impressionist style painting depicts a thick tree with a lush canopy to the center, which hangs over a wooden picketed fence spanning a grassy field. This is bordered by a body of water to the left edge. To the lower right corner is a painted signature, which appears to be dated ‘3/4/69’. The painting is presented under glass beneath matting in a cream wooden frame. To the verso is an affixed sawtooth bracket for hanging, with an excised backing to reveal a typed statement in another language.

Condition

- tan tone wood frame showing nicks and scratches around the frame.
