A pair of oil paintings on canvas by an anonymous artist. These figure studies depict nude women in soft, pastel palettes, with one woman seated and the other lying on her side. Both are unsigned and presented as unframed, stretched canvases.
Condition
- discoloration throughout both paintings; foxing and accreiton on verso of both canvases; wear and paint missing around edges of both paintings; smudges and accretion across horizontal painting; craquelure present at top right of vertical painting; stretcher marks on vertical painting.
