A Japanese gouache painting on silk of a musical genre scene, circa early 20th century. The work depicts three young women playing a tsuzumi, a shamisen, and a koto. The piece is housed in a wood frame under glass.
Condition
- scuffing to the finish of the frame; larger than half-dollar sized areas of discoloration to the work on the percussionist’s neck and the other musician’s right elbow; small areas of foxing to the silk.
