E.G. Webster & Son Silver Plate Flower Frog with Dried Floral Bouquet
Item Details
A vintage silver plate flower frog by E.G. Webster & Son of Brooklyn, New York (active 1886 – 1960). This piece features a rectangular shape with repoussé Dutch windmill scenes around the sides and rim, as well as scrolled foliate, floral sprays, a chased lattice background, and acanthus leaf ribs around the base. The frog is topped with a scroll-pierced lid and filled with a dried floral bouquet. The underside is stamped, ‘EGW & S’.
Condition
- to fair; surface scratches and tarnish to flower frog; flowers are real and some pieces are loose and fragile.
