A re-strike woodblock print on paper titled Iris and Grasshopper after Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, 1760 – 1849), originally dated 1833 – 1834. The work depicts purple iris blooms with a grasshopper to the center of the image using a variety of line weight. To the left, the maker’s mark is printed. To the verso, a certificate of authentication is included. The print is presented floating in an off-white mat under glass in a wooden frame.

Condition

- some wear to the edges of the frame; some warping to the top of the paper; to the verso, some wear to the protective backing.
