A hand-knotted Moroccan Boucherouite area rug. This cotton and wool rug features a shag pile comprised of multiple textiles, in various colors and patterns. The field features a unique pattern of diamonds including a large black and white checkered one, along with others in colors of rust, crimson, saffron, sepia, and cobalt, while set on a colorfully marbled ground. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and one bound end, with braided warp fringe to the other end. Unlabeled.
