German Wedding Cups and Pewter Mug Collection

A selection of German wedding cups and pewter mugs. It includes two pewter German wedding cups shaped as female figures dressed in bell shaped skirts holding a bowl above their head. These act as double cups, where the bride’s drink from the bowl at the same time as the groom drinks from the goblet-skirt. Also included is a pewter Handwerks-Siegel German stein with a hinged lid, a pint mug embossed ‘James Yates Pint’; and a goblet with a ribbed footed base, marked ‘Rein Zinn’ to the underside.

Condition

- gentle surface wear and light tarnishing consistent with use.
