Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Lilihan carpet runner. This abrash wool rug offers an all-over repeat pattern of stylized herati designs featuring palmettes, florests, leaf forms and diamond shapes. Framing the field are barber pole, sawtooth and carnation meander borders. The rug is worked in a palette of navy, camel, red, indigo, cinnamon, ecru and ivory. Selvedges are overcast in black, the rug finishing with short natural warp fringe at each end. Labeled with a tag to the verso indicating country of origin.
