An offset lithograph reproduction on fine printmaking paper of an original crayon sketch by Cubist Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973). The drawing was originally created in 1957, and was first reproduced in Paris in 1961 by Mourlot Freres as a part of the folio Toros y Toreros, which included illustrations by Picasso accompanying text by famed bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin and art critic Georges Boudaille. The J. Walter Thompson Co., an advertising company, had this edition of the book’s dedication page printed by Cercle d’Art. Picasso supervised this run which was limited to three-hundred pieces, of which this is number 172. The lithograph is numbered in pencil, comes with a black folio box and an accompanying paper explaining the process.

Scratches and marks on portfolio.
Foxing and discoloration of paper, which does not affect image.
