1979 Ed Gifford Etching "Pelican Inlet"

A signed etching on paper titled Pelican Inlet by listed Ohio artist Ed Gifford (American, 1928-1998). This print depicts three stylized pelicans with detailed feathers, floating atop rippling waters and a rustic boathouse nestled on an embankment to the distance. The print is signed, titled, and dated by hand in graphite to the lower margins. It is matted in off-white and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a metal hanging wire to the verso. Adhered to the verso is a framing sticker and a label with information on intaglio prints.
Condition
- some discoloration; accretions; minor wear to frame; tape adhered along edges to the verso; frame glass could be cleaned more thoroughly.
