Circa 1890, a tall art pottery bottle by Royal Doulton produced under the artistic direction of John Slater; Slater Studios, Lambeth, London.

An impressive piece its bulbous form body is decorated with a tapestry pattern of gold and teal clover against a neutral ground. Its neck is glazed in a luxurious deep blue and mirrors the bottles curves from below offering an interesting symmetry, terminating in a flaring mouth to top.
