A hand-stitched embroidery piece from the Uros people of Lake Titicaca in South America, between Bolivia and Peru. This piece, stitched on a hand-woven ground, uses chain stitch in colorful yarns to depict the daily like of the Uros people on the lake. It has ‘Uros Lago Titikaka’ stitched to the lower let and is finished with a geometric border and is from Uros Islands in Lake Titicaca, Peru.

Condition

- some wrinkles from storage; stains on reverse side; accretion to surface.
