Antique Eastlake Sycamore Dresser and Mirror
Item Details
An antique Eastlake sycamore dresser and mirror. The outside mirror frame features an elaborate crest topped with a line of wood balls, and includes scalloped trims, incised flowers, two open ovals with thin wood rails and is flanked by incised and reeded stiles. The tilting mirror is set in a reeded frame with block corners and incised flowers. The chest, having a beveled, rectangular top overhangs three dovetailed drawers featuring incised floral accents, cast metal bail pulls and square keyhole escutcheons. The top drawer protrudes slightly above the other two and all are flanked by incised and reeded stiles. The chest rises on square legs joined by a straight apron. Circa 1870-1900.
